The Indian Army has called for applications for the 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme-47 course commencing in July 2022 leading to permanent commission in the Indian Army.

Eligibility: Applicant must be a single male under the age of 16.5 and over the age of 19.5 on 1.7.2022 (must not be born before January 2, 2003 or after January 1, 2006, both days included). The candidate must have passed the 10+2/equivalent exam with a minimum total of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) from recognized school boards. PCM percentage from various state/central boards will be based on grades achieved in Class XII only. The candidate must have participated in the JEE (Mains) 2021 exam.

There are 90 vacancies. The total training will be 5 years which includes (a) Basic Military Training – 1 year (Gaya Officer Training Academy) and (b) Technical Training (i) Phase-I (Pre-Commission Training) – 3 years (CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad) (ii) Phase-II (Post-Commission Training) – 1 year at CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad. After successfully completing 4 years of the course, cadets will be granted a permanent commission in the military at the rank of lieutenant. Cadets will receive an engineering degree after passing the final exam.

Selection procedure. The Department of Defense (Army) Integrated HQ will set the deadline for screening candidates for Service Selection Board (SSB) interview by Psychologist, Group Testing Officer and Interviewer, which will be held at one of the selection centers – Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bangalore (Karnataka) or Kapurthala (Punjab). Application: Application can be submitted online at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in before 1500 hours on February 23, 2022. After successfully submitting the form, the candidate will receive a confirmation. A printed copy of the application with a roll number will be available to the applicant 30 minutes after online applications close. Applicants are required to print two copies of the application with the system generated roll number. A copy of the printed application duly attested by the candidate will be brought to the selection center for the SSB interview. The second copy of the online application form should be retained by the applicant for reference.
