Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India]Apr 10 (ANI): Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra said on Sunday that a proper CID team had been formed to investigate alleged fraud in the recruitment process for the post of sub-inspector.
According to the Minister of the Interior, a review was organized for the recruitment process of 545 sub-inspectors.
“We have obtained information from the public regarding fraud in the recruitment process. We have appointed a CID team to investigate the matter,” Jnanendra said in a statement.

“An FIR has been registered at the Kalburgi Chowk police station. According to the evidence, one person has been arrested,” he added.
The Home Secretary said the accused was identified as Veeresh and was taken into custody. He was also a candidate in the recruitment process. He reportedly scored 100 points on the exam after attempting questions for 21 points.
“We will investigate the candidate’s OMR sheet and strict action will be taken against those who try to take justice into their own hands,” the Home Secretary said.
The home minister further slammed former Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah for calling him incompetent.
“I don’t need a certificate from Siddaramaiah. How many deaths and murders have taken place under his rule, we know. They have taken over registered cases against PFI and SDPI. So, we are well aware of his activities”, added the Minister of the Interior. (ANI)
