City of Bethel Hires Residential Building Inspector
Responsible for code enforcement and inspection work involving the review of site and construction plans for new residential buildings and for the review of residential buildings under construction, renovation or repair to ensure the compliance with applicable local codes, ordinances and regulations, national electrical codes, and plumbing and heating codes on all construction, alterations and demolitions of residential buildings.
High school or vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship training program in a construction skill and at least four (4) years of experience and training that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required.
Certification by the State of Connecticut as an Official Building Assistant, plus mandatory continuing education through seminars. Must possess a valid CT motor vehicle driver’s license.
