Health Bureau announces July 11-16 health services deal


MACAO, July 10 – To respond to the development of the epidemic, to ensure public safety and reduce crowd gatherings, the Health Bureau announces that during the period from July 11 to 16, the health services provided by the Health Office will be organized as follows:

1. Conde de São Janu Emergency, Inpatient and Outpatient ServicesaRio General Hospital

The Accident and Emergency Service (including the Island Emergency Station), the Hospital Service, Hematology Outpatient, Oncology Outpatient, Day Hospital of the Hematology-Oncology Service, the Unit Hemodialysis, Outpatient Obstetrics, Prenatal Scan, anti-tumor treatment in Urology and the CHCSJ Pharmacy will remain functional as normal; the Tuberculosis Prevention and Treatment Center will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for its drug dispensary and emergency outpatient service.

Scheduled specialized outpatient services (including outpatient services, radiology, blood sampling and clinical pathology analyses, internal medicine endoscopy service, urology diagnostic and day treatment service, and outpatient rehabilitation services) , elective scheduled surgery and the peritoneal dialysis service remain suspended.

In addition, psychiatric patients requiring drug injection as scheduled or with special conditions may come to the original appointment clinic for services from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

All persons must first perform a rapid antigen self-test and report the result on the Macau Health Code before entering CHCSJ.

I. Visit arrangement

All visiting hours at CHCSJ are suspended until further notice; televisits can be organized by the hospital if necessary.

ii. Arrangement for the services concerned

  • Medication replenishment service

For residents whose medication is insufficient and requiring a prescription for specialist medication, they can call 8390 6000 or register at the Main Foyer of the CHCSJ during office hours; on-call specialist physicians will prescribe medication to patients who need it. Residents registered by telephone will be notified by SMS when such medications have been prescribed, they will be able to collect the medications by presenting the SMS received in the approved pharmacies or the CHCSJ Pharmacy.

  • Outpatient, treatment or examination services

Individuals unable to receive a medical consultation, treatment or examination service at CHCSJ due to the above provisions between July 11 and July 16 will receive a phone call or text message from the units/ services concerned within 14 working days informing them of the new appointment date. .

Relevant users of clinical pathology blood collection and analysis will be notified by SMS separately; those in need of early testing due to illness can go to the CHCSJ blood collection room as scheduled. In addition, the Day Hospital of the Hemato-Oncology Service can offer a blood collection service to oncology and hematology patients.

2. Health centers, health posts, blood transfusion center, public health laboratory (LSP) and medical activity authorization unit

I. Health centers and health posts

The outpatient services of the Health Centers and Health Posts, as well as the services of the Physical Examination Center for Civil Servants will be suspended; only nursing services will be provided from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. daily in all health centers. Users of Health Centers, Health Posts or the Physical Examination Center for Civil Servants whose appointment has been canceled will be informed in good time of the new time or the new arrangement of the appointment.

ii. blood transfusion center

In order to ensure sufficient supply to meet the blood demand of local patients during the epidemic, the Blood Transfusion Center will maintain the blood donation service as usual. Citizens intending to donate blood will be asked to present a Macau Health Code containing a negative rapid antigen test result upon arrival at the blood center. After blood donation, citizens will be replenished with a rapid antigen test kit.

Apart from that, the services of the blood donation bus which was supposed to park in the pedestrian zone next to Flower City Park, Taipa, will be suspended once on July 12 (Tuesday).

3. Public Health Laboratory (PHL): Limited services or urgent services will be maintained.

4. Medical Activity Licensing Unit:

Limited and urgent services will be provided between July 11 and 15. The public is urged to defer non-essential or non-urgent requests for the time being, while license renewals can be processed through the online renewal system. In the event of an essential need for services, citizens should first make an appointment by phone or email and then report to the Medical Activity Licensing Unit as scheduled after receiving confirmation of the appointment.

Upon entering the Medical Activity Licensing Unit, citizens must wear a KN95 mask or higher standard mask, scan the QR code of the venue, and present a green-colored Macau Health Code containing the negative test result. a rapid antigen test carried out during the day. 3. Arrangement for COVID-19 Vaccination Services

Regarding COVID-19 vaccination services, the Macao Forum Large Community Vaccination Post will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and the Nossa Senhora do Carmo – Lago Health Center will be open from 8:30 a.m. from 12:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. to provide immunization services.
