delhi Admission ITI 2022: The Delhi government has notified the admission process of 19 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in the nation’s capital. Admissions for 11,336 places in a range of vocational/skills training courses covering several sectors will begin on Monday 4 July. Students interested in the courses will have to apply online on the official website of the institute.
ITI training programs are designed to provide basic knowledge and skills in specific trades to prepare skilled or semi-skilled labor for self-employment. Delhi ITI offers over 50 certificate courses in engineering and non-technical trades such as electricians, carpenters, computer operators and programming assistants, interior design and decorators, mechanics (body repair).
Students trained in ITI can be self-employed and, depending on the trade they have chosen, can set up their own garage or manufacturing workshop. Those who opt for the Crafts Instructor Training Program can work as trainers in ITIs. Students looking for training in engineering or in technical trades or fields can continue their studies and be admitted to degree courses.
The deadline to register for the ITI Academic Session is July 31 with the online document verification deadline set for August 2. Applicants can access the choice fill option on August 3. The provisional ranking list will be posted on the official website on August 5th. The final classification will be announced on August 12.
Based on the ranked list, candidates will be able to apply for admissions in various ITIs according to the allocation of seats. The ministry will publish four seat allocation lists.
According to the official notice, applicants will have to submit a single registration form to apply for different trades/ITIs.
Candidates interested in taking a course at an ITI in Delhi must have passed the Class 10/Class 12 examination of any recognized board in any stream. They must also be over the age of 14 at the time of application. There is no upper age limit for applications.
