Hyderabad: Siddipet district had the highest passing percentage of 97.85% in SSC (Secondary School Certificate) results, while Hyderabad had the lowest passing percentage of 79.63%.
Siddipet was followed by Nirmal with 97.73% and Sangareddy with 96.75%. Out of 5,03,579 students who sat for the exams in the regular category, 4,53,201 passed with a pass rate of 90%. Once again, the girls eclipsed the boys, achieving a passing percentage of 92.45% out of 87.61%. A total of 2,48,416 girls sat for the exam and 2,29,422 of them passed. Meanwhile, of the 2,55,433 boys who sat for the exam, 2,23,779 passed. No less than 11,343 pupils obtained 10/10 points, according to the Secondary Education Council.
Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy released the results on Thursday. She said that once a week, special lessons will be organized for students who did not pass the exams. Advanced additional exams will take place from August 1st.
There is a decrease in the overall pass percentage of 2.43% compared to 2019, where the pass percentage was 92.43%. In 2020 and 2021, all students were declared successful due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This school year, about 3,007 schools scored 100%, while 15 schools scored zero. A total of 819 private students took the exam this year, 425 passed and the passing percentage is 51.89%. Boarding schools had the highest pass percentage of 99.32%, while public schools had the lowest pass percentage of 75.86%.
