RAWALPINDI: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi announced on Wednesday that the annual Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination will start from May 10.
In a statement, BISE Rawalpindi spokesperson Arsalan Cheema said the class 10 exam would start on May 10 and end on June 10.
He said the council had set up 388 exam centers in the region to facilitate students. No less than 142 centers are for male students, 139 for female students while 107 are joint examination centers, he added.
A total of 117,796 candidates will sit for the exam, including 60,868 males and 56,928 female students. All candidates have received their registration form.
Meanwhile, BISE Rawalpindi Chairman Dr Khalid Mahmood said foolproof arrangements had been made for the 2022 annual registration review and the necessary staff had been deployed.
“A presidential platoon, a special platoon and mobile inspectors have been appointed to inspect the examination centers. District level control rooms are also being established in Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal, as well as the central Rawalpindi council control room,” he said, adding that he personally oversees all arrangements.
“A letter has been written to each District Police Officer (DPO) for security arrangements. The police will be deployed in all examination centers with the help of the relevant DPOs,” he added.
