With the announcement of the Matriculation or High School Certificate (HSC) exam, Plus 2 students urged the Higher Secondary Education Council (CHSE) on Friday to propose the exam dates for the class 12 as soon as possible.
While urging the Odisha government to address their concerns, students said the early announcement of Plus 2 exam dates would help them focus in their preparations for the crucial exam.
“The delay in announcing the dates for our class 12 exams will only add to our confusion until the dates are announced. The government should at least announce the date,” said a Plus 2 student .
Class 12 exam results play an important role in a student’s career and therefore there should be no more delays in declaring dates, said another student, adding, “From OJEE, JEE to NEET, we have to appear for a lot of exams after class 12. The government should heed our concerns.
Meanwhile, Utkal Abhibhabak Sangha Chairman Krushna Chandra Pati said the state government should positively announce the exam dates for Class 12 as it will help the students release the stress they are going through. currently.
“There is a need for the government to address their concern at the earliest,” Pati added.
On the other hand, Odisha government announced on Friday that class 10 exams will start on April 29 and end on May 6, 2022.
Announcing the dates, Chief Secretary of Odisha, Suresh Mohapatra said Summative Assessment-2 exam for students will be compulsory and results will be released based on set three-tier assessment criteria by BSE.
