UPSC 2022 Civil Service Exam Notification Released; apply on upsconline.nic.in

The Union Civil Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification of the Civil Service (Preliminary) Examination and Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination 2022. Candidates can register for the exam on the official website upsc.gov.in until February 22, 2022 until 6 p.m.

The number of vacancies to be filled through the CSE is expected to be around 861, while 151 IFS positions are expected to be filled. The final number of vacancies is subject to change after obtaining a firm number of vacancies from the framework’s controlling authorities, the notice reads.

The preliminary examination will take place by the Commission on June 5, 2022. The exam will consist of two compulsory tests of 200 points each. The two quizzes will be of the objective type (multiple-choice questions) and each will last two hours. The Civil Service Examination (Preliminary) General Studies Paper-II will be a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks set at 33%. Questions will be written in Hindi and English.

The Commission will conduct a screening test for selection for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2022 through the Civil Service (Preliminary) Examination, 2022 to be held on 5th June.

Eligibility criteria

Age limits: The candidate must have reached the age of 21 and must not have reached the age of 32 on August 1, 2022.

Education Qualification:

CSE: A candidate must hold a graduate degree from any of the Universities incorporated by Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by Act of Parliament or declared be considered a university under Article 3 of the University Grants Commission. 1956 Act or possess an equivalent qualification. IFS: A candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects namely animal husbandry and veterinary science, botany, chemistry, geology, mathematics, physics, statistics and zoology or a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, forestry or in engineering from any recognized university.

Registration fees

Applicants are required to pay the fee of Rs 100, while Reference Female/SC/ST/Disabled Applicants are exempted from paying the fee.

  3. Click on the registration link
  4. Fill in the details, pay the fees and submit
  5. Submit the form and take an impression or future reference
